How can one compress over eight years of branding, design, creative and video into a minute and a half? Well, one can't, really. But what we can do is give you an edited look at some of the work we've done, with thanks to the clients and collaborators who made it all possible.
Left Coast Naturals is a food company built on the principles of sustainability. Unicycle Creative was engaged to tell that story with an animated web video. To begin, we wanted to develop a platform that would be unique to the Left Coast brand.
SustainaFoodAbility became the title and unifying principle of the film. Through a series of candid interviews with Left Coast President Ian Walker, we compiled hours of anecdotes and values.
We then prioritized and organized the Left Coast story and illustrated it with hand drawn visual cartoons by Lorne Craig. The result is a 4-minute overview touching on history, brand advantages and genuine sustainability going forward. As an added bonus, the illustrations were drawn on an iPad, then layered and animated in Photoshop and edited in Final Cut Express. Not a single sheet of drawing paper was used, saving at least one twig.
London Drugs has long been incorporating sustainable initiatives into their store operations and services. As their 'green' consultant, Unicycle Creative worked closely with the in-house media team, directing, shooting and editing a series of conversational videos. Featuring COO Clint Mahlman and a cast of real LD employees and customers, these videos help the store's staff and customers see that they are 'The Real Green Deal'.
Hemlock Printers launched a digital printing service with the ability to customize individual pieces in a run with names and a web-linked response tool. The NameTag video was produced as a whiteboard animation, with voice, music and sound produced by GGRP.
